Privacy Policy

Assessment Ready is operated by Hamilton Technologies, the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about privacy at corri.jones@hamiltontechnologies.co.uk.

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account data — your email address and display name, and the authentication method you use (Apple, Google or email/password). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in plain text.
• Discord connection data (optional) — if you choose to connect Discord, we receive your Discord username, user ID and avatar image, and whether you are a member of our community server. This is used to display your name and picture on leaderboards.
• Practice data — your test results: scores, accuracy, timing where applicable, attempts over time, and derived statistics used for your progress trends and percentiles.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate session activity, browser type, and similar technical/log data used to keep the service reliable and to improve it.
• Preferences — settings such as your chosen display name, stored locally in your browser.
• Subscription & purchase data (where you buy Pro) — payments are processed by RevenueCat and Stripe, who share limited transaction details with us (such as your plan, purchase and renewal status). We never receive or store your full card details.

• To provide the service — run tests, save your scores, and show your progress.
• To operate leaderboards — your display name (and Discord avatar, if connected) may be shown publicly alongside your ranking.
• To generate insights — trends, improvement over time, and how your results compare to other users (e.g. percentile for a test).
• To improve the product — understand which features are used and where users struggle, and fix problems.
• To communicate with you — service messages, and (only where permitted) product updates.
• To keep the service secure — detect misuse, fraud and abuse.

Where UK/EU data protection law applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the service you request); legitimate interests (to secure, analyse and improve the service, and to run leaderboards), balanced against your rights; and consent (for optional integrations such as Discord, and for any non-essential analytics/marketing). You can withdraw consent at any time.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers who host and run the platform — application hosting, authentication, payment processing (RevenueCat and Stripe), email delivery, and, where enabled, product-analytics providers — acting on our instructions.
• Other users, but only the limited information you choose to make public: your leaderboard display name and, if connected, your Discord avatar.
• Authorities or third parties where required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

Connecting Discord is optional. If you connect it, we pull your Discord display name, ID and avatar to identify you on leaderboards, and check whether you have joined our community server. You can disconnect Discord at any time from your profile, which removes those details from your leaderboard identity going forward.

We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functions (keeping you signed in, remembering preferences and scores) and, where enabled, for analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

We keep account and practice data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (see your rights below).

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and regulators of serious breaches where the law requires.

Our providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; obtain a portable copy; and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact corri.jones@hamiltontechnologies.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

The service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
